Children of 150 families Gain Access to a School Building in Balkh

Kabul, October 17, 2020 – A school building consisted of six classrooms, an office,  and three toilets financed by the Education Quality Reform in Afghanistan (EQRA) Project under the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/CCNPP) has been completed successfully in Khwaja Gholak village, Balkh district of Balkh province.  

The school building constructed on a 308-square-meter plot of land promoted the access of tens of male and female students to an appropriate learning environment within the community.

Furthermore, a total of 2,000 labor days have been created for both skilled and unskilled laborers during the implementation of the school project through the Khwaja Gholak Community Development Council (CDC).

It is worth mentioning that tens of other EQRA school buildings are currently under construction in various communities of Balkh province.
