Inauguration of 10 developmental projects in 11th district of Herat City

01 December, 2018 - In series of its developmental activities, the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of IDLG, inaugurated 10 projects in 5 Community Development Council (CDCs) located in 5^th Gozar Assembly (GA) of 11^th district of Herat city, in presence of large number of people, representative of Herat municipality, water supply director, CC provincial employees, Guzar chairpersons (Wakil-e Guzar) and members of CDCs.

These projects are related to Melad, Wais Qarni, Salahuddin Ayobi, Hazrat-e-Belal and Shah-e-Ghariban CDCs of 5^th Guzar in 11^th District of Herat City.

Of these 10 developmental projects, 5 projects were streets concreting of 7480 lm, drainages concreting of 4668 lm along sides the streets, and the other 5 projects are the extension of water supply networks with total length of 10050 m. The entire budget of these projects is 31,433,962 AFN. Of this amount, 23,128,100 AFN is granted by Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program, and the rest 25% (8,305,862 AFN) is paid through the contribution of the communities. During the implementation of these developmental projects 5743 skilled and 22573 unskilled workers will get job opportunities.
