Inauguration of REACH (Dastarkhan-e-Milli) in Kandahar City

REACH/ Dasterkhan-e-Milli implemented by IDLG under CCAP was officially initiated/inaugurated on 17 December 2020 in Khoshal CDC, Nahia 10 of Kandahar province.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kandahar mayor, General Director of Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program (CCNPP), CCAP Provincial Management Unit (PMU) Head of Kandahar province, officials of facilitating partners (FPs), officer bearers of the mentioned CDC, elders and youth.

39 households received relief packages which included 20 kg rice, 50 kg flour, 5-liter cooking oil, 3 kg dried beans and 6 pieces of bath soap. Khoshal CDC is comprised of 221 deserving households which will receive relief packages in turn. Moreover, residents of Khoshal CDC are happy about initiation of Dasterkhan-e-Milli. 

It is worth mentioning that REACH will be implemented in all 15 Nahias of Kandahar province which are comprised of 100,000 households.

At the end, Kandahar mayor said that role of elders, Mullah Imams and the youth is very important and prominent in implementation of Dasterkhan-e-Milli and he requested the people to deliver the relief packages to deserving people with good faith.
