January 28, 2019 - 60 % project activities of the first Development Council of Malang Jan town, first Gozar, 8^th District of Jalalabad city have been completed. The project which includes construction of 626 linear meter road and 1200 meter drainage which costs 6.2 million Afs is funded by Citizens’ Charter Program.

About 40 workers  from the mentioned CDC are engaged in this project and on the completion of the project, 700 male and 600 female  members of the Development Councils will directly and about 3250 people will  indirectly benefit from it.

This CDC is formed from 215 households, 64 of the households are IDPs and 53 are returnees. Most of the workers engaged in this project belong to these families.

Residents of the mentioned CDC are happy for all activities of the project because, they themselves run all activities of the project. According to the residents, the procurement and monitoring sub committees directly monitor project activities and the committee itself purchase all materials needed for the project. This way, the council ensures good quality of the project to CCAP authorities.
