Citizens’ Charter Program to build a recreational park in 19 acres land in Jalalabad City

January 16, 2019 - Recreational parks construction project in third and fourth Gozar councils of 5th district of Jalalabad city was officially inaugurated. Mr. Abdul Baqi Popal Deputy Minister of Municipalities, Mr.  Abdul Bari Ahmadzai Operation Director of Citizen’s Charter Program, Mr. Riazullah Darmal Mayor of Jalalabad City and residents of 5th district attended this ceremony. 

This park will be jointly built by two councils; the total estimated cost will be around 21.5 million afs which will be funded by Afghan government through Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program. The construction of the park will be completed in 9 months which will have an open space for recreation and study, green areas, pathways, trees, boundary walls, Cafeteria, electricity, wide range of entertaining and playing facilities for children and many more.

On the completion of the mentioned project, 900 households will directly benefit and tens of workers will find employment opportunities in this project.

It’s worth mentioning that before initiation of project in the mentioned districts, the construction of another recreational park in 25 acres land was also started by Citizens’ Charter Program where currently tens of skilled and unskilled labors are busy in.
